Transparencies & Originals
Please provide good quality 8" x 10", 4" x 5" and 35mm transparencies. Positive is best and the bigger the better. If a transparency is not available arrangements can be made to get a copy from your original artwork. Original reflective line, gray scale and color artworks can be scanned up to 11.5" x 17.5".

Scans from the following positive or negative materials:

- 35mm, 2.25" x 2.25", 4" x 5" & 8" x 10" transparent media (larger is better)

- Reflective art up to 11" x 17"

Up to 50MB $25 (min) - 50MB to 150MB @ $.50MB - 150MB plus @ $.55MB

Publishing Packages

Prepress & Publishing Packages
Includes a scan from film or reflective media, proof and adjust to approval (up to 3 proofs) and archiving to CD of final approved files.
Additional charge for scans larger than 150MB @ $.05 per MB

Digital Artists

Setting up files for output
Formats: Mac or Window Media: Mac, PC - CD's or ZIP 100's
Colorspace: Adobe 1998 Resolution: 300, 200,150dpi @ 100% of print size

Using profile to profile conversions to get from a special user colorspace to Adobe 1998 will provide very good results. Remember to change your settings in RGB setup to reflect the correct colorspace also. This will allow you to review more accurately the file for adjustments before proofing.
(This is a good starting point for client tests for output)

Proofing and adjust ( up to 3 proofs on specified substrate) archival of final print file. Best to provide digital files in Adobe 1998 color space.

Proofs from customer digital files up to 12" x 12" - $25 ($30 on canvas)
Adjusted proofs $45 Larger client proofs in 12" increments - $20sq. ft.
All proofs are marked with file name, date and production notes.
Multiple images on a single print run add $15 per image.

Image Editing

Images needing repairs such as older artworks or photographs, alterations such as removing signatures or unwanted elements and creative concepts are welcome. Resizing, cropping for derivative editioning, layout and design work, marketing sheets and other services available. Please call to discuss your projects.

Image cleaning, repairing& restoration billed at $50 per hour / half hour minimum.

Design services, layout and creative imaging billed at $75 per hour / half hour minimum.

Artists wanting their own signature relocated or removed for resigning or cropping placement are charged $25 per image.

Over the shoulder collaboration/ client direction @ $75 per hour

(includes: system time, technician)

Additional Services

Hand Deckled Edges $3 per print

UV Spray Coat $15 per 36" x 48" sheet size (1/2 sheet minimum $8)

Additional Copy CD Burn $10

Turnaround

Allow 5 to 10 working days for proofs and 10 to 14 days for final prints. ( Larger orders may require additional time relative to scheduling. Please communicate all deadlines to insure we work together to meet your needs.)

Payment

Payment of 50% is required in advance to start projects. All outside costs will require advance payment as required to secure services on behalf of client. Final balance is due at time of pick up or shipping.

Shipping

Shipping is provided through carries of choice unless otherwise requested by client. All shipping costs are added to final invoice or can be billed to client's shipping account.

Policies

All reasonable care is taken to protect original artworks, transparencies and customer supplied media. However, Rock's Studio and its representatives are only libel for replacement costs of raw materials in case of damage or loss. Always back up your files and provide your own insurance!

Rock's studio will try to notify clients when changes reflecting inks and printer will be happening and will allow 90 days notice if possible before using new inks, papers and device setting to allow for reprinting of archived files. We will not be responsible for guaranteeing complete print editions due to the constantly changing dynamics of the technology and consumables of the digital printing industry. We will not guarantee the availability of system or of materials continuity. Reproofing for new inks and machine settings may require additional proofing to match previous prints and will be the responsibility of clients to assume if a match is to be retained.

Rock's Studio reserves the right to refuse services at its own discretion without limits.
